A Jewish apology has four parts (five if you include guilt): 1. I said "I'm sorry." 2. I accepted responsibility for my actions and acknowledged what I did was wrong and why 3. I promised not to let it happen again 4. I took action to ensure it wouldn't be repeated No, its not the end of the world but its wrong and not conducive to the kind of work environment I wish to create. I believe in the principle found in "Like Water for Chocolate": what is in your heart goes into your work. If I create a hostile workplace the food won't taste right. Simple as that.
